Niigata University of Pharmacy and Medical and Life Sciences was established in 1977 as the first private 4-year university in Niigata, Japan.

In April 2023, we opened the Faculty of Medical Technology and the Faculty of Nursing, in addition to its existing Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Applied Life Sciences. It has been moving forward as a "comprehensive university in the field of medicine and health" with four faculties and five departments, including two graduate schools.

Providing distinctive educational programs to become trusted professionals, the university focuses on "scientific exploration of medicine and health" to realize a society where healthy and independent people live. Through practical efforts in education and research in collaboration with local communities, it aims to contribute to “people” and “communities”.

Moving towards its 50th anniversary, Niigata University of Pharmacy and Medical and Life Sciences will continue to innovate further.
