The purpose of the graduate school of applied life sciences is to research "the fundamentals and applications of life sciences" and to cultivate practical skills in this field, with a particular emphasis on fostering individuals with "advanced expertise and professionalism." In other words, the focus is on nurturing individuals who possess pioneering and entrepreneurial spirits, capable of creating new products and industries upon entering the real world, and becoming immediately effective contributors to society.
