Niigata University of Pharmacy and Medical and Life Sciences

Greetings from the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Nurturing a Sense of Mission to Support Medical Treatment Based on Past Achievements and Experience

The human race has overcome diseases by creating drugs. I am not exaggerating when I say that the success or failure of a medical treatment depends on whether or not drugs are effective. In medical treatment settings, pharmacists actually perform a great deal of work to ensure that the drugs used are fully effective. For drug treatment to be successful, it is essential for pharmacists to fill their roles responsibly.

The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Niigata University of Pharmacy and Medical and Life Sciences has, for more than forty years, graduated many pharmacists who now support regional medical care, mainly in the Niigata area. Based on its past achievements and experience, it offers a variety of educational programs including post-graduate support designed to meet society’s needs and nurtures pharmacists who are capable of acting driven by a sense that their mission is to support medical treatment.
